12 JUNE 2007 - Verdict, approval as public widely predicted.
We are seeking legal advice about the way forward. The fight goes on. Watch this space.
Thank you to all the members of the public who took the trouble to attend the special Planning Committee Meeting.
The turnout was both good-mannered and heartening considering the lack of consultation and the drawn out process that
had been endured. Your presence was undoubtedly felt as the chamber was almost full in demanding attention. Unfortunately
it was evident that the public concerns raised were not going to be addressed on the day by either the officers or the committee.
There can be no doubt that any observer on the day was aware of the undemocratic process that took place.
Not only were the members of the public denied their democratic right to ask questions of the officers for
half an hour before the start of the meeting but were obstructed by the officers in attempting to ask any
questions. The chairman refused to extend the time allowed even though it was the officers who turned up late.
The officers even attempted to ignore members of the public to avoid answering questions.
If you feel strongly about what took place then lodge a complaint - the process was as flawed as the application.
Do not be down-hearted - we shall continue the fight on your behalf.
A special thank you to COMMANDERY COACHES for their continued and valued support - a friend in need is a friend indeed.
11 JUNE 2007 - Councillors visit the site.
The councillors were received by a group of residents and their supporters at the site at 14.50pm.
8 JUNE 2007 - Severn Waste place half page ad in the Standard
An extraordinary piece of propaganda has appeared in a local paper in a last ditch attempt to sway the public perception.
We have had several versions of traffic counts as illustration but please remember that this one does not account for return
journeys and does not include staff and maintenance vehicles. Bear in mind that if markets change then route density will change
and the capacity was a projection for the year 2028!

Many apologies for not getting back to you sooner but the position is that the item is not going to 15 May as it is a very controversial issue with a lot of public interest and we want to deal with it at a special Committee where it can be given due consideration and not to the detriment of other items on the agenda.
I will contact you as soon as I have a new date.
1 MAY 2007 , Parish Council pledge to support Action Group.
Parish council chairman Michael Reeves said he does not think the application will be approved.
The site being proposed for this sort of development is totally unsuitable, he said.
It is inconceivable that planners could approve such a scheme for a development within one or 200 metres of private residential homes and a nursing home for the elderly.
